What is your primary product or service?
We provide an Interactive Murder Mystery Show where everyone is a suspect... even YOU! It's over a delicous four course meal prepared by the Hotel Phillips in downtown Kansas City.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My wife and business partner actually was acting in the Los Angeles show for fun and a few extra bucks after we had our son as she didn't have the time for her full time acting career as a new mom. We had some money to invest and we decided to be the second franchisee of The Dinner Detective, that's back when there was only five locations now we up to about thirty-five and we own nine.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Great question, The Dinner Detective prides itself on having the highest overall experience The Dinner Detective was founded on three simple ideas: We wanted to create a show with NO hokey costumes, NO lame scenarios and NO campy dialogue. We are also a firm believer in quality over quantity we want to put the best product on "stage" and one of the ways we do that is by doing our best to have the best trained cast and ensuring we have as full of a room as possible. Audience interaction is such a large part of our show having a large (60-90 people) is really our goal for every show, this also mean we don't like to "oversell" our public shows either generally keeping them under 100 guests too.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We plan on only having one in the Charlotte area, but nationwide we are still growing!
