How long have you been in business?
LegalShield was founded in 1972 and has been in business for over 40 years. LegalShield is a nationwide service and stands ready with over 6900 attorneys to help you with your legal needs.
What is your primary product or service?
LegalShield offers legal plans for individuals and families, small businesses, and as a voluntary company benefit. LegalShield also has specialty plans for over-the-road truck drivers, police officers, foster parents, real estate agents, and school teachers. Along with the legal plans, LegalShield also offers Identity Theft Protection plans through Kroll Advisory Solutions, the world's leading risk management company.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was looking for an identity theft protection plan for my family when I discovered LegalShield. LegalShield's legal and identity theft protection plans were a good fit for my IT business, so I added the services as part of my product offering in 2009.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I work mostly with small businesses in the Kansas City area and I have been a small business owner for over 15 years. I know the needs of the small business owner and can relate to the issues they face daily. I often ask potential members "If you could pick up the phone and call an attorney with any question and not worry about getting a bill in the mail, would you use attorneys more often?" The answer is almost always YES!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
LegalShield is able to cover individuals and families as well as small businesses with legal coverage in every state except Alaska. LegalShield's Identity Theft Protection is available in all 50 states. I am available to work directly with small businesses all over Kansas City and beyond.

I am available by phone anytime. Meetings are by appointment only. I have some limited availability on weekends.

I love to hear how our services have helped an individual or business. I have had compliments that I am persistent but not high pressure. I like to inform and educate individuals and small business owners about our services and let them make the best decision for their family or business.
