Empowering People Through Education and Encouragement
Empowerment Center of Kansas City is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, we were established in 2002. Our program "Safe In His Arms' is an abuse prevention program, designed to help young girls (ages 12-17) and young women (ages 13-25) understand the danger of abuse and also teach them how to recognize the signs or the red flags of abuse.
This program will also help in establishing self-esteem, self-development and personality assessment.
We will have at least 2-3 two-hour events throughout the year and one large conference annually. These events will consist of skits, ice breakers, prizes, speakers, information, resources and lunch.
All events will be free to our targeted audience. We will have the girls complete a personality assessments which will help us build our program curriculum because our future plans are to present Safe In His Arm in the schools, churches, etc..
