How long have you been in business?
Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art opened in 1985 with the goal of presenting contemporary works of art of exceptional quality and merit. Celebrating our 27th year, the gallery is now one of the oldest sustained contemporary art galleries in Kansas City and the Midwest representing emerging, mid-career and internationally established artists making exciting and technically proficient work in all fine art mediums.

Contemporary art by national and regional artists.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Sherry Leedy is a practicing artist with a B.F.A degree from the Kansas City Art Institute and an M.F.A. degree from the University of Kansas.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
As a full service, client oriented gallery, Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art is an important resource for private collectors, public institutions, corporations and first time art buyers across the globe. One example of the way that the gallery works together with clients and experienced gallery artists is on commissioned works of art, managing and facilitating all aspects of special projects and acquisitions.
The gallery has placed over 150 works of art in museum collections and gallery artists are represented in over 100 museums worldwide. Designed by Greenlee Schmidt Architects, the gallery has been instrumental in the revitalization and success of its neighborhood, the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, Missouri.
