What is your primary product or service?
Furnishing & installing roofing materials on steep sloped roofs (i.e. not a flat roofing contractor). Specializing in composition shingle, cedar shake, and cedar shingle installation maintenance, and repair.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As is the case with many in the construction industry, the trade has been passed down from generation to generation.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have earned the highest credentials of certification offered to roofing contractors by GAF.
Whereas most roofing contractors tend to adopt procedures to meet the lowest / least expensive methods of installation (typically failing to meet even the "minimum" buidling code standards) we not only meet the "minimum" standards, but routinely exceed minimum standards when necessary to provide what is in our opinion the correct installation for the specific project. And we do so at a competitive price, resulting in the "best value" for the consumer. After all, what good is a cheap job if it fails to perform adequately and results in a homeowner incurring additional costs to correct the problems resulting from the cheap installation?
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our 10,000 square foot warehouse & 2,000 square foot office is located at 500 Jones Avenue, Grandview, MO 64030 (since 1987). We have this one location & have no intentions of moving or opening an additional location since the facilities we currently maintain are quite adequate to meet our needs.

At 71 Hwy & Main Street (in Grandview, MO; just 4 exits south of the Grandview Triangle)go west on Main ~1/2 mile to 5th Street, then turn north on 5th Street until it dead ends at our office 2 blocks north of Main Street.
What type of payments do you accept?
Our terms are payable in full within 30 days of completion. We accept checks or cash, but do not accept credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
We service the area within a ~50 mile radius of the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Kevin & Mike Vaught (sons of Larry Vaught) currently own and operate the company and have been managing the business's daily activities since 1991. Kevin & Mike began working "at the bottom" for Larry as young teenagers and have worked their way "up the ladder" during the last 35+ years to become the owners.

We are open from 8 am to 5 pm weekdays.
